・Arrival at Wattay International Airport and Don Chan Palace, Vientiane

Many People were waiting not for us but for the Muay-Lao national team at the airport, as we were on the same flight.
The CAFEO staff kindly took us to the venue hotel. “Sabaai-dii (Hello in Lao) Laos! ”

・Opening Ceremony and Keynote Speech by the Deputy Prime Minister Asang Laoly of Lao PDR

Female banner-bearers in national dress entered the ballroom along with the senior delegation leaders and staff members, followed by Deputy PM’s speech.

・CAFEO Technical Presentation

There were three technical presentations by members of the Japanese delegation, one of which turned out to be somewhat informal due to unexplained absence of the chairperson.

・YEAFEO Board Meeting and Exchange of Souvenirs

Country reports were given by participating representatives, followed by the Board Meeting. The agenda included topics that invited heated discussions.

・Welcome Dinner and Farewell Dinner Party

Traditional and popular Laotian dance and music were presented. Each delegation was then called on to the stage to present its own programme/improvisation.

・Vientiane City Tour (YEAFEO)

The tour was organised by Laotian young engineers, including visits to the National University of Laos, That Luang Stupa, Wat Ho Prakeo Museum, Wat Sisaket Temple and Ta Lat Sao(Morning Market). Crossroad and sidewalk banners with CAFEO signs welcomed us. “Khop chai (Thank you) Laos! ”
